What stays the same when you switch to iPhone
You speak, the text appears
You dictate by voice on your iPhone, and the text is in the field. With SpeechDone you see it as you speak. After you stop, the finished text is there right away (median 0 ms after the stop, measured on October 13, 2026).
Technical terms and names
You add names and technical terms to the dictionary once, and SpeechDone pays attention to the spelling. Text snippets for sentences you use often sit next to it. Both are the same on all your devices (with sign-in).
Dictating for your profession
People who dictate a lot usually have professional secrets to protect. What SpeechDone does with your recording is spelled out on the pages for doctors, lawyers and tax advisors, including the DPA in text form.
What is different
In every app, on iPhone, iPad and Mac
SpeechDone is not a single dictation app you switch into. On iPhone and iPad the dictation keyboard works in every app. There is also a widget, a Live Activity and the Share menu. On the Mac you hold the fn key and speak, and the text lands where your cursor is (macOS 15 or later). Your history lives in your iCloud.
Cleanup instead of word for word
Two recognizers check each other: Deepgram transcribes live, Mistral (Voxtral) recognizes the recording section by section once more, and that text is inserted. If Mistral does not answer in time, the text comes from Deepgram. The original stays in your history next to the cleaned-up version.
Rewrite, translate, ask
In the keyboard you translate text, ask questions and rewrite selected text by voice (Pro).

If you worked a lot with voice commands in Dragon, we make no promise there. Try SpeechDone before you rely on it.
Prices
Free includes 1,500 words per week. Starter costs $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year (6,000 words per week), and Pro costs $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year with no weekly limit (above 150,000 words a month, cleanup gets a little slower). App Store subscription. Your dictation never stops at the limit: above the weekly limit SpeechDone keeps writing, just without the cleanup.
